Leones wins the battle against Vaqueros

The Puerto Rican BSN has been enjoying better days recently as many ex-NBA players have joined the League. The Championship is between 12 teams divided into two groups of 6 as Leones occupy the top spot in Group A, while Vaqueros dominate in Group B. On Wednesday, the two teams faced each other to decide who could be considered a favorite for the title.

However, despite the high expectations for a close game, Leones de Ponce gave their opponents little to no chance. The home side dominated throughout the whole match as they picked up a double-digit lead at halftime, which was more than enough for them to get their 10th win for the season, 80-58. This year, Vaqueros de Bayamon suffered their biggest defeat, but they remain a top contender for yet another title.

The two teams are among the most successful ones in BSN history as Vaqueros led the table with 15 Championships, closely chased by Atleticos de San German and Leones with 14 titles each. However, Mets de Guaynabo are the most recent champions as they won their first trophy in 28 years, which is another example of how competitive BSN has become.
