Jadeveon Clowney Re-Signs With Browns

Clowney is still a Brownie!

Jadeveon Clowney signed with the Cleveland Browns on a one-year deal. The defensive end was brilliant for the Browns in 2021, recording nine sacks, 37 tackles, two forced fumbles, and two passes defended.

Clowney says he signed with the Browns because he wants to win a Super Bowl with the team. “I think we’ve got a shot at it,” Clowney said on the Browns’ official website. “We had a great defence last year. We went out and got some more key players on offence and defence, and I feel like we’ve got a shot. I wouldn’t want to do it on another team than the one I played with last year… I know what we can do together, just hoping we can take the next step forward and get where we can get.”

Clowney is 29-years-old and entering his ninth season in the league. He attended the University of South Carolina and was selected by the Houston Texans with the first pick of the 2014 NFL Draft. Clowney made the Pro Bowl three straight seasons from 2016 to 2018.
