NFL Draft Profile WR Garrett Wilson

Draft Profile WR Garrett Wilson

This year’s NFL draft is not as loaded at wide receiver as other recent drafts, but there are still a handful of really talented guys. None more so than Ohio States Garrett Wilson, who is ready to be a day one top two receiver on any team in the league.

Pros:

While Wilson has all the tools you are looking for at a high level from speed, catching, jumping, and more, he has one absolutely elite ability. Separation – he just simply gets open at an incredibly high level. Whether in the slot or outside, he had about a 78% average creating separation on his routes in college.

Cons:

He played with other elite wide receivers in college, so teams could not blanket coverage on him consistently. Can he maintain the same level of success if he is on a team without other great WR?
Overview:

He is a top ten talent and offers excellent diversity because he can play outside or in the slot for a team which only increases his value.
