Top 5 NFL Draft Class: Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers had a great draft, improving their defense with two starters with their first-round picks. Followed by drafting North Dakota State WR Christian Watson early in the second round was excellent value. The Packers maximized their draft slots and got players that are perfect fits. Some teams were panicking when so many wide receivers went in the first round.

Green Bay was patient and got a wide receiver in Watson, the most physically gifted player at his position in the entire draft class. The Packers snagged another incredibly physically gifted WR later in the draft in Nevada’s Romeo Doubs. After looking like they were ignoring the needs of their star QB for the third draft in a row, the Packers seemingly got two playmakers who should be in their top four wide receivers.

With many selections in the draft, the Packers also helped improve their depth. Drafting three offensive linemen in the last five rounds, the Packers are hoping that maybe just one will be a hit and could improve their O-line depth that has been injury-plagued at times.
