The twin blue chips have elected to go to the NBA as they will forfeit their final season of eligibility.

Bill Self and the Kansas Jayhawks will not have the talents of either Marcus or Markieff Morris for the 2011/12 NCAA basketball season.

Instead of returning to the Big 12 for their senior years the twins have instead decided to hire an agent, a move that automatically ends their NCAA careers, and to enter the 2011 NBA Draft.

Earlier reports concerning the Kansas Jayhawks had more promising news as Tyshawn Taylor and Thomas Robinson will reportedly stick around for at least one more season.

In the three seasons that the Morris’s spent at KU the Jayhawks were noteworthy March Madness under-achievers.

This past season the school suffered a loss in the Elite 8 despite being their region’s top seed. Two seasons ago, 2009/10, the Kansas Jayhawks were the top team in the nation entering the March Madness tournament and they fell in the second round. Three seasons ago, Kansas only made the Sweet 16 after winning the national championship the year before.
