BCS Bowl Schedule – Rose Bowl Coming Up

The Wisconsin Badgers and TCU Horned Frogs will meet on New Year’s Day.

There have been plenty of non-BCS bowl games already this season but the main events are coming for NCAA football fans. The Rose Bowl is the first BCS bowl game of the season and it will kickoff with the New Year at 4:30pm ET on Saturday.

Here’s the complete schedule for the BCS Bowls, all times ET:

January 1st 4:30pm – Rose Bowl, Rose Bowl Stadium, Pasadena, CA

Teams: Wisconsin Badgers vs Texas Christian University Horned Frogs

  • The Badgers, out of the Big Ten, only suffered one defeat this season and that was a road game at Michigan State
  • The TCU Horned Frogs play in the Mountain West Conference and they are undefeated at 12-0 and have typically blown out their opponents
  • Prediction: Wisconsin

January 1st 8:30pm – Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, University of Phoenix Stadium, Glendale, AZ

Teams: Oklahoma Sooners vs Connecticut Huskies

  • Oklahoma are out of the Big 12 and they have an overall record of 11-2 this season
  • Oklahoma lost to Missouri and Texas A&M but the Sooners enter their bowl game coming off of 4 wins
  • Connecticut play in the Big East and they have an overall record of 8-4 this season
  • All 4 of Connecticut’s losses this season were in road games but they still enter their bowl game on a 6 game winning streak

January 3rd 8:30pm – Discover Orange Bowl, Sun Life Stadium, Miami Gardens, Florida

Teams: Virginia Tech Hokies vs Stanford Cardinal

  • Virginia Tech play in the ACC and they have an 11-2 overall record
  • The Hokies lost their first two games of the season before running off 11 straight wins
  • Stanford Cardinal are from the PAC 10 and they have an 11-1 record on the year
  • The only loss Stanford suffered this season was at the hands of the Oregon Ducks

January 4th 8:30pm – Allstate Sugar Bowl, Louisiana Superdome, New Orleans, LA

Teams: Ohio State Buckeyes vs Arkansas Razorbacks

  • The Ohio State Buckeyes are out of the Big Ten and they have an overall record of 11-1 this season
  • A former number 1 during the regular season, Ohio State’s loss at Wisconsin is their only blemish
  • The Arkansas Razorbacks play in the West Division of the SEC and they are 10-2 on the year
  • Their losses came to Alabama and Auburn

January 10th 8:30pm – 2011 Tostitos BCS National Championship Game, University of Phoenix Stadium, Glendale, AZ

Teams: Auburn Tigers vs Oregon Ducks

  • The Oregon Ducks are out of the PAC 10 and they enter the BCS final at 12-0
  • Oregon have only played one tight game this season as they beat California 15-13 in November
  • The Auburn Tigers are out of the SEC and they enter the BCS final at 13-0
  • The Tigers have played in 6 one possession games this season as they defeated Mississippi State, Clemson, South Carolina, Kentucky, LSU, and Alabama by a combined 25 points
