Tottenham have been tipped to reignite their interest in the Argentine after agreeing on a fee to sign him last summer, but the deal fell through without fanfare. However, according to Italian sources, the Lilywhites have been tipped to reignite their interest this year.

Along with Spurs, the source claims that Arsenal is also interested in Martinez, speculating on a possible bidding war between the two teams for his services. Even though Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy and his team will have to break their transfer record to sign Martinez this summer, there is little question that he would immediately boost the club and provide proper backup for star striker Harry Kane.

The South American ace has been dubbed a ‘magnificent’ player who ‘oozes class’ by members of the English media after scoring 14 goals and assisting two others in Serie A alone in 2021/2022. So he jumps out as a possible fantastic summer target for Spurs.
