Marcelo Bielsa in line for vacant Colombia job

Marcelo Bielsa quickly established himself as a fan favorite and a favorite manager at Leeds, he will always be revered by the Elland Road faithful for being the man who lead Leeds back to the promised land of the Premier League.

Bielsa’s helter-skelter-style winning plaudits across the world seemed to have a detrimental effect on his Leeds players this season. With his team struggling for results the Leeds board made the tough decision to depart from Bielsa. It has looked like a good move as Leeds looks on course to maintain their Premier League status for next season.

Despite the Leeds job not ending the way he would like, Bielsa won’t be out of work for long and he has already been earmarked for the vacant Colombia job.

Bielsa is no stranger to international management having managed both Argentina and Chile. With Colombia having missed out on the 2022 World Cup, the Colombia board will be wanting to ensure they get their next appointment spot on.

According to reports although Bielsa would be keen on the role, his wage demands could scupper any possible appointment.

Bielsa would light up any international appointment and would make Columbia a force to be reckoned with once again.
