2010 US Open – Coral open odds on Juan Martin Del Potro

Coral becomes the 4th sportsbook to offer a betting line on Del Potro in the futures market for Flushing Meadows.

Juan Martin Del Potro may be playing in the 2010 US Open and sportsbooks have been opening up lines over the last 48 hours.  Coral are the most recent firm to open up odds on Del Potro as they priced him at +1000 (10/1) in their outright winner’s market.  That price still doesn’t measure up to what SportingBet have to offer as they have the defending champion at +2500 (25/1), odds that have to be considered valuable.

Del Potro is the only man to have beaten Roger Federer at Flushing Meadows since 2003 as he, Del Potro, took Federer out in the final of last year’s tournament in 5 sets.  Due to a wrist injury Del Potro has not been effective on tour since winning the 2009 US Open although he did make the ATP World Tour finals (l. to Davydenko).
