Novak Djokovic remains world number one in the latest ATP tennis rankings, ahead of Roger Federer, Andy Murray, and Stan Wawrinka.

Djokovic beat Federer in four epic sets on Sunday night to win the 2015 US Open title.

The Serb won 6-4 5-7 6-4 6-4 to claim his second New York and 10th Grand Slam title.

Djokovic will end 2015 with three of the four tennis majors.

The 28-year-old said after beating the Swiss at Flushing Meadows: “It’s been an incredible season, next to 2011 the best of my life.

“But I’m enjoying this year more than I did any previous one because I’m a husband and a father, and that makes it sweeter.”

Five-time champion Federer told the crowd after his loss: “I’ll see you guys next year.”

The 34-year-old added: “I’m pleased with where my game is at.

“It is always tough playing [against Djokovic] and I think we both walk away from it knowing more about our games and more about each other.”

Stan Wawrinka, Tomas Berdych, Rafael Nadal, Milos Raonic, Gilles Simon, Richard Gasquet, Kevin Anderson, Feliciano Lopez and Ivo Karlovic are all climbers in this week’s Top 20.
