Roger Federer 2010 Us Open Odds

The Swiss Maestro is considered 3 to 1 to win at Flushing Meadows but you’d have to put him out much longer than that.

Roger Federer is the second favorite to win the 2010 US Open as he is priced at +300 with more than one firm to win the title at Flushing Meadows in August/September.  Coral are one site offering that price and your promo code is MAXIMUMBONUS if you are registering with that sportsbook.

Federer made some headlines earlier this month when it was announced that he would be working with Paul Annacone on a trial basis.  Annacone was Pete Sampras’s coach between 1995 and 2001 and he, Annacone, also worked with Tim Henman.

Federer made a very smart move in changing things up as his results have been tapering off since winning the 2010 Australian Open and perhaps the coaching move should give his backers some renewed optimism.

However at +300 there is no value on backing Fed to win the US Open at this point due to the fact that he has not won anything since the Australian Open and that includes poor results from the American hard court swing earlier this year.  Federer’s best tournament has always been Wimbledon and his quarterfinal exit in that draw is where bettor’s should be grounding their insight on Fed as he’s clearly not playing as good as he has played in the past.

A smarter bet would be to pick Rafael Nadal to win the US Open at +275 (11/4) with Paddy Power as his odds could be judged as much more valuable than Federer’s.  The world number 1 has been on a rampage for several months now and, even though he looked good in 2008, his chances to win the US Open have never been better than they are now simply due to the fact that Federer is now faltering more than just occasionally.
