Dentil Praia Clube Given Boost Ahead of Semis

Dentil Praia Clube, the runner-up in the regular season of the 2021/22 Brazilian Women’s Volleyball Championship, has extended the contracts of four current starters for another season.

Praia secured four signatures of the players who now wear their jerseys on the eve of the playoff semi-final series against Sesc RJ Flamengo in the 2021/22 Superliga Feminina. The Uberlândia club will remain strong next season, as Ana Carolina Silva and Anne Buijs and Dominican sisters Brayelin and Jineiry Martnez, have all signed new contracts with the team.

Paulo Coco, the head coach, has also committed to returning to Praia for the sixth consecutive season. However, it was difficult to persuade the quartet of players to continue at the club since Ana Carolina Silva, the middle blocker, had offers from Europe, and Brayelin Martnez was also in high demand in Asia.
