Seixas And Solberg Continue Winning Ways In Ostrava

The Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour Elite 16 challenge in Ostrava, Czech Republic has entered its second day, and Brazilian superstars Barbara Seixas and Carol Solberg have notched another impressive win.

The Brazilian duo opened the day’s events with a tough matchup against Poland’s Katarzyna Kociolek and Kinga Wojtasik. Seixas and Solberg dominated the first set of the match, winning 21-12. Solberg got off to a particularly hot start, posting 13 attack points.

The second set was another story. Kociolek and Wojtasik battled back to claim the set 19-21. The Polish duo committed just one error in the entire set. Seixas and Solberg committed four.

The third and deciding set was remarkably balanced. Both sides committed four errors, while Wojtasik posted the set’s lone serve point. Ultimately it was Solberg’s four attack and three block points that put the Brazilians over the top 15-13.

Play will continue in Ostrava with championship matches on Sunday.
