Nick Foles Signs Two-Year Deal With Indianapolis

A Philadelphia football legend is taking his talents to Indianapolis.

On Monday, the NFL Network reported that veteran quarterback Nick Foles signed a two-year contract with the Indianapolis Colts. The signing will reunite Foles with coach Frank Reich, who was the offensive coordinator during Foles’ famous MVP performance in Super Bowl LII.

Foles has been a bit of an NFL vagabond. In 9 NFL seasons, Foles has played for four different teams, most recently for the Chicago Bears. He’s also appeared in 64 NFL games, throwing for 79 touchdowns against 41 interceptions.

His best season came in 2017 when he replaced an injured Carson Wentz and led the Philadelphia Eagles all the way to the Super Bowl. In the game, Foles made NFL history and won the hearts of fans nationwide by becoming the first quarterback to catch a touchdown pass in a Super Bowl. The Eagles defeated the New England Patriots 41-33 to win their first championship.

In Indianapolis, Foles is expected to backup Matt Ryan, whom the team also acquired this offseason.
