Steelers Interview Omar Khan For GM Position

On Tuesday, the Pittsburgh Steelers announced that they completed a second-round interview with Omar Khan for their open general manager position.

Khan currently works as the Steelers’ Vice President of Football and Business Administration. He’s been with the Steelers organisation since 2001, during which time the team has won Super Bowl titles. Khan has held his current role since 2016.

CBS Sports reports that Khan interviewed with Steelers president Art Rooney II, head coach Mike Tomlin, and outgoing general manager Kevin Colbert. The Steelers’ ended with a whimpering 21-42 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the wild card round.

The Steelers are also looking at candidates from outside the organisation. Ryan Cowden, John Spytek, and Doug Whaley have also completed second interviews for the general manager position.
