Sony Michel Signs With Miami Dolphins

Michel Signs With Dolphins

In just four years in the NFL, Sony Michel has won Super Bowls with the New England Patriots and the Los Angeles Rams. Michel is a man accustomed to winning and now he’s heading to…the Miami Dolphins?

Indeed he is. On Tuesday, the Dolphins announced that Michel will be joining Tua Tagovailoa and Tyreek Hill in Miami’s retooled offense this season. Miami, a perennial doormat in the AFC, is coming off a solid 9-8 performance in 2021. The team hired an offensive-minded coach in Mike McDaniel and has been building their roster with splashy moves in free agency and the draft.

Michel began his NFL career in 2018 with the New England Patriots, winning his first Super Bowl that year. After a 2020 season hobbled by a quadriceps injury, Michel was dealt to the Los Angeles Rams. He bounced back in 2021, leading the Rams in rushing and winning his second Super Bowl ring.

Miami fans hope Michel will keep up his winning ways in the Sunshine State. It’s been nearly 50 years since the Dolphins last won a Super Bowl.
