JGR №11 and Kaulig №16 penalized for causing havoc

Two cars have been issued suspensions following incidents in the rain-delayed race at the Dover Speed Motorway on Monday. Despite leading the most laps in the DuraMAX Drydene 400, Denny Hamlin was quite unfortunate after losing his front-left wheel. This was another misfortune for the 41-year-old veteran driving the №11 Toyota, who had his sixth finish outside the top 20 for the season. 

The crew chief Chris Gabehart, jackman Derrell Edwards, and front-tire changer Blake Houston will get a four-race suspension for violating a safety rule during the DuraMAX Drydene 400. They have violated Section 10.5.2.6 of the NASCAR Rule Book, suggesting a separation of an improperly installed wheel.  

A.J. Allmendinger was the other driver whose team will get a penalty for an improperly installed wheel during the race in Dover over the weekend. His №16 Chevrolet had one unsecured lug nut, which was found in the post-race check. The crew chief Matt Swiderski, front-tire changer Keiston France, and jackman Jonathan Willard will suffer a four-race suspension.
