New Orleans Bowl – Ohio Bobcats vs Troy State Trojans

The NCAAF bowl season starts on Saturday with three non-BCS bowl games.

The 2010/11 bowl season is almost here as Saturday December 18th will feature three games. The New Mexico Bowl will open the action as UTEP and BYU face one another and that will be followed by the Humanitarian Bowl between Fresno State and Northern Illinois.

The final bowl game of the day on Saturday will come from the Louisiana Superdome as the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl takes place between the Ohio Bobcats and the Troy State Trojans, one of the bowl games of least interest to NCAAF fans.

Ohio play in the Mid American conference and they have an overall record of 8-4 on the year. The Bobcats have won 7 of their last 8 games but they did drop their last game to Kent State.

Troy play in the Sun Belt and they have just a 7-5 overall record on the year and they enter the New Orleans Bowl on a modest 2 game winning streak.

Game time on Saturday is at 9pm ET and most will be calling for Troy State to win as they are small favorites (Source: bet365).You might also be interested in:
