Richarlison nets a dramatic equalizer as Everton keep distance from those at the bottom

Richarlison secured a vital point for Everton

Everton who have been mainstays in the Premier League ever since the league came into existence in the early 90s took another baby step towards safety with a dramatic 1-1 draw against Leicester.

The game started in the worst possible manner for Everton with Harvey Barnes scoring for the visitors in the 5th minute. Everton, clearly rattled by the early goal were devoid of ideas and struggled throughout.

Lady Luck was smiling on the Merseyside club as in the last minute a strike from Richarlison took a wicked deflection, earning Everton a crucial point on their quest for safety.

Much has been made about the future of Richarlison who now at 24 will want to be testing himself against Europe’s elite. Everton who need to balance the books know that they can command a hefty fee for the Brazilian and there appears to be no shortage of suitors.

PSG, Barcelona, Tottenham, and Arsenal all reportedly hold an interest in Richarlison who has now scored 7 goals this season. Whether they can afford the fee Everton will demand remains to be seen.
