10-man Águila crush Atlético Marte 4-0

League leaders Deportivo Águila beat Atlético Marte 4-0 despite playing over 30 minutes with 10 men.

The victory for Águila was crucial as it moved them three points ahead of Chalatenango who lost against Platense earlier in the day. The ‘Aguiluchos’ have been in great form this season, and their performance was the best way to prove it.

They took the lead through Moisés Garcia in the first half. Despite Lizandro Enmanuel Claros Saravia’s red card, the team chose to attack instead of defending their lead and managed to score three more goals to seal the victory.

Despite Águila’s victory, their coach Agustin Castillo must take care of the team’s discipline, as it is the second consecutive game they have received a red card and the fourth one this season.

Next week, Águila will host mid-table side Isidro Metapán while Chalatenango will visit eighth place Once Deportivo.
