Could Gabriel Jesus be on his way to Barcelona?

Gabriel Jesus could be leaving Man City

The striker situation at Manchester City remains unclear. Ever since City failed to bring in Harry Kane last season it was thought that City would move fast to bring in a striker for next season.

Despite a lack of options up front, Gabriel Jesus has struggled to make an impact and there are significant reports that Jesus could be a target for Barcelona. With Barcelona still struggling financially, they are set to bid 30 million euros for the City striker.

Jesus, now 25 has featured for City 22 times this season and only has three goals to his name. Now in his 6th season with the club, perhaps now is the time for a move.

Jesus found himself out of Brazil’s last World Cup qualifying squad and with the World Cup now firmly on the horizon he will be wanting to play regular football.

City will already have young Argentinian starlet Julian Alvarez on their books next season and it’s hotly-anticipated that Erling Haaland could also be joining this summer.

With the prospect of both Alvarez and Haaland both joining City next season Jesus could well find himself deemed to be surplus to requirements and a move to Barcelona could benefit all parties.
