League Leaders’ Real Estelí and Diriangén set for intense battle

The “El Clasíco” in Liga Primera de Nicaragua takes place this weekend with both teams looking for more than just pride. Real Estelí and Diriangén are currently in first and second place in the league so both teams know how important a win will be in their battle for the title.

Estadio Cacique Diriangén Diriamba is the setting for the next edition of this fierce rivalry.
Both teams come into the match off the back of a draw in their last game. Real Estelí drew 0-0 in their visit to UNAN Managua. Diriangén conceded a last minute equaliser against Real Madriz as they failed in their attempt to pull away at the top.

In their match earlier in the season at the Estadio Independencia, Diriangén crushed Real Estelí 4-1 thanks to an impressive first half display. Due to the previous result, Estelí will be looking to gain revenge against their rival.
