Liverpool and Manchester City set to battle it out for Luis Guilherme

Guilherme wanted by Manchester City and Liverpool

In recent years Liverpool and Manchester City have developed a titanic rivalry on the pitch. The two sides have swapped Premier League titles and other domestic cups.

It seems that the two clubs are not content to just battle on the pitch and in a bid to improve their squads off the pitch, the two are reportedly ready to go head-to-head in an effort to sign Palmeiras hot-shot Luis Guilherme.

At just sixteen, Guilherme looks to be a player destined for the very top of the game. He is yet to sign his first professional contract but that hasn’t done anything to dampen the excitement surrounding Guilherme’s abundant talent.

An attacking midfielder, Guilherme is a regular for Brazil Under 17s and helped his nation win the Montaigu Tournament held in France. People in Brazil have already compared Guilherme to Rivaldo.

It remains to be seen whether Guilherme will make a move this summer, but even if he does stay in Brazil next season, he looks to be a name that will rise to prominence over the next few seasons.
