Tigres’ easy win against Toluca keeps them level with Pachuca

Tigres win against Toluca

Tigres won 3-0 against Toluca which kept them level on points with Pachuca at the top of the table.

Pachuca had beaten Juárez earlier in the day so Tigres knew the importance of their latest win.

Tigres were completely superior to ‘Diablos Rojos’ throughout the match. The Toluca defence struggled with Tigres’ attack and lacked order and structure, and only thanks to the performance of goalkeeper Gustavo Rodriguez the first half ended 0-0.

During the second half, the sharp moves of Gutierrez were not enough to prevent Juan Pablo Vigón’s scoring in the 57th minute, with a perfect shot inside the penalty area.
Sebastian Córdova doubled the lead with a left-footed shot from outside the box in the 66th minute. The last goal was scored five minutes later by French striker, André Pierre Gignac.

Pachuca beat Juárez 2-1 with goals from Nicolas Ibañez and Bryan González.
