Tottenham relying on Romero to secure top 4 place

Romero is key to Tottenham’s top 4 push

After a frustrating start to the season, Cristian Romero looks to be on his way to becoming one of the best defenders in the Premier League with a string of impressive performances.

Romero, who arrived on loan last summer from Atalanta with an obligation to buy will become a permanent member of the Tottenham squad this summer

Tottenham did a great job at capturing Romero’s signature after the Argentinian was named the defender of the year in Serie A.

Romero has shown his strength and class on the ball and has been able to dominate some of the Premier Leagues’ best forwards.

After suffering a hamstring injury that kept him out of action for almost three months, it isn’t a surprise to see that Romero’s return has coincided with Tottenham’s climb up the table.

Tottenham now currently occupy the last Champions League spot and look set to do battle with bitter rivals Arsenal for a place in next season’s Champions League.

With twists and turns to come in the race, Tottenham will need to keep it steady at the back and Romero will need to play a huge part in that as Tottenham aim to return to the Champions League for the first time in three years.
