Novak Djokovic remains world number one in the latest ATP tennis rankings, ahead of Roger Federer, Andy Murray, and Kei Nishikori.

Federer moves back up to No. 2 in the world after beating Djokovic on Sunday to win his seventh Cincinnati Masters title.

The Swiss, 34, recorded a 7-6 (7-1) 6-3 win over the Serb to ensure he will be seeded second at the upcoming US Open.

“We really get the best out of each other,” said Federer after his win over Djokovic, which cam in one hour 30 minutes.

“We have improved a lot playing against each other over the years.

“It’s very special for me. I will try my best to come back for many years to come.”

Djokovic’s loss saw him denied the chance to complete the set of all nine ATP Masters titles.

“I really hope he can win here one day,” Federer added.

“He deserves it.”

Richard Gasquet and Feliciano Lopez are also climbers in this week’s Top 20.
