Georgia Tech Women To Tour Brazil

Yellow Jackets Visit Brazil

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets women’s volleyball team will travel to Brazil from May 17 to June 3 as part of their NCAA Foreign Tour.

This trek to Brazil will be the Yellow Jackets’ first foreign tour in six years. The team will travel to Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Recife, and Fernando de Noronha. While there, they will compete against local clubs, as well as soaking up the cities’ sights and culture.

Michelle Collier, the Yellow Jackets’ coach, is a native of Recife and is excited to tour her homeland.

“I love the opportunity to bring our program to Brazil,” she said. “Brazil is a country that loves the game of volleyball and also loves to share its culture and is a great host. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for all of us – us Brazilians included – to share such a special time together. Looking forward to an awesome two weeks of fun, sun, and great volleyball.”
