Seixas And Solberg To Compete In Rome

Brazilian Duo To Play In Rome

It was good news Tuesday for Brazilian volleyball fans!

On Tuesday, Volleyball World reported that Brazilians Barbara Seixas and Carol Solberg will compete in the 2022 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championship in Rome, Italy. The pair will headline a field of 48 women’s teams in the tournament.

Seixas and Solberg have already put together quite the campaign in 2022. They’ve already competed in four international tournaments and won almost $15,000 in prize money. The pair’s most recent victory came at the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour Challenge in Doha, Qatar, where they defeated Germany’s Chantal Laboureur and Sarah Schultz in straight sets to claim first prize. Prior to Doha, Seixas and Solberg won another Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour Challenge event in Tlaxcala, Mexico.

The draw for the tournament’s pool phase is scheduled for May 31st. The tournament itself will run from June 10th to 19th. Games will be broadcast on VBTV.
