Beach Pro Tour Challenge To Continue In Doha

Beach volleyball fans the world over are gearing up for the next instalment of the 2022 Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour, scheduled to resume on Thursday in Doha, Qatar.

The international tournament will be the Qatari capital’s eleventh in just eight years and is the third event of the tour. The first Challenge tournament of the tour was held back in March in Tlaxcala, Mexico, and was won by Poland’s Michal Bryl and Bartosz Losiak on the men’s side, and Brazil’s Barbara Seixas and Carol Salgado on the women’s.

The tour continued last month in Itapema, Brazil. In the men’s competition, the host country’s own Andre Loyola and George Wanderly claimed victory in the men’s competition. In the women’s tournament, Americans Sara Hughes and Kelly Kolinske emerged victorious in just their third competition, defeating a dominant Dutch squad.

The Doha tournament will begin on Thursday, May 5, with championship matches scheduled for Sunday. Fans can catch live matches on VBTV.
